With most of the key information being destroyed in the bloody papers, he couldn’t make sense why the private detective had all this information on Mr. Detective! Frustrated he slaps the papers off his desk as he groans, hes getting nowhere as he is right now. Maybe he should just ask the detective what the deal is with this old case! Actually, why doesn’t he ask the detective for information? Thats it! He should just ask the detective himself! He stand up from his desk and heads down the hall. Suddenly a gunshot echoes through the hall making the new guy stop in his tracks, quickly he turns around and dashes to the office next to his, like every other room he’s entered today he is brought to another horrific surprise. There stands Mr. Detective covered in blood looking down upon the bloodied body of Tex Niction.
“My God! What has happened here!” new guy exclaims as he enters the room
“Tex, oh my god, Tex how did this happen…” Falling to the floor the new guy cradles the dead body
“We have to call the medics immediately, and begin photographing the scene and uh..” Rambling on, Mr. Detective looms behind him ominously
“Oh shit, Mr. Detective, are you ok-” he’s interrupted by the revolver pointed at his head.
“You really should have minded your own business kid.” Mr. Detective cocks his gun, but a siren already begins sounding in the distance.
“It looks like you got lucky…You bastard!” Mr detective slaps a mug left on Mr. Nictions desk, the impact making it shatter above New guy’s head. He crouches down underneath the desk ripping open a filing cabinet grabbing a stack of files from it.
“I spent years building up my reputation to get to the position that I'm in and I'm not going to let a shitty nobody twerp like you ruin it!” Mr detective yells as he places the files onto the desk, pulling out a set of matches that he sparks up, lighting the room into flames. Facing the new guy, who has been cowering against the wall next to Tex’s body, he crouches down to his level.
“You show up all of a sudden and our team starts dropping like flies? Nobody is going to believe you, so keep quiet about all this so you don’t lose your job, your life got it.” Mr.Detective asserts. He stands up leaving the room, leaving the new guy to continue cowering on the floor. He glances at the body of his fallen teammate, then to the fires erupting throughout the room. All the evidence left from this crime scene disintegrated in an instant. The detective is the murder repeats continuously within the new guy's head. The detective was right, who would believe him after his string of bad luck since showing up. The sound of footsteps hurting down the hallway rips the new guy out of the spiral of his panic.
“New guy! There you are, We must get out now!” shouts Mr detective as he stands in the doorway.
